A decorating theme is a great way to begin decorating a room for a child, and it's also lots of fun. If you're like most parents, you've probably spent lots of time thinking about decorating your new child's room even before he joined your family. While bunnies are cute and teddy bears are darling, you might want something different for the bedroom or playroom.
There are so many places you can find that will help you find exactly what you want, and even more. Start with the bedding collections, there are many choices and quite a few manufacturers available in most department stores. Many of these collections can work well with the color pattern you are thinking of, and you can even incorporate them into the whole design and follow through or just add a few items.
But if you aren't looking for a "theme", per say, then consider working with a few select colors. For example, if you are expecting a girl, then colors such as cream, pink, lavender can be used; for boys, blue, yellow and white are always safe. If you aren't sure of the baby's gender, then stick to neutrals such as cream, yellow, beige, and pale green. This will also help others when buying you gifts for the baby or the nursery.
