There are many Bedding Types used, the diffference between them, is in the way that each one is being used. Some tropical cultures use only Bed Sheets to cover their beds, in other cultures, two bed sheets are used, one to cover the mattress, another to cover up the body when laying on the bed. A lightweight blanket or Quilt is used when times of cold winter. In locations where the weather is more severe, Comforters and Duvets are very common for warmth, and the bed sheets are not that necessary.
American Culture use all of it - usually two bed sheets, comforters or bedspreads to cover up the bed, blankets and quilts for extra warmth or just decoration.
